Clematis cartmanii 'Joe' A distinctly different clematis! This lovely little evergreen is more of a scrambler than a climber & is ideal for draping along the edges of raised beds. Clematis cirrhosa var balearica A fragrant, evergreen clematis whose ferny foliage provides the perfect backdrop to the masses of cream flowers freckled with reddish/brown spots produced from Dec to Feb. Clematis 'Dr Ruppel' First introduced to the UK from Argentina in 1975, Dr Ruppel produces large pink flowers with each petal having a central, dark pink/red stripe. Central anthers are creamy beige. Clematis montana Alba Originating from China, this lovely montana was introduced into cultivation in 1831. Since then it has become a firm favourite. Clematis sieboldiana A much sort after variety, first introduced to this country in 1835. The early summer flowers are about 10cms in diameter and have 6 creamy-white outer petals perfectly framing the dramatic central boss of dark purple petals. Clematis triternata Rubromarginata A personal favourite. This delicate looking clematis produces strongly fragrant flowers which, whilst not the largest, are amongst the most numerous.
