Campsis Mme Galen

Campsis x tagliabuana 'Mme Galen'

A very exotic looking woody climber producing large clusters of spicy orange red trumpet shaped flowers up to 10cm long in late summer. Mme Galen has dark green fernlike foliage that is deciduous. It will need support as it doesn't self-cling. Prefers a sunny, sheltered site in fertile, moist but well drained soil. Frost hardy - may need some protection in extreme winters. HGT: 10m

Campsis Indian Summer

Campsis x tagliabuana 'Indian Summer'

A very exotic looking woody climber producing large clusters of apricot-orange trumpet shaped flowers with a darker throat, each up to 10cm long in late summer. Indian Summer has mid green pinnate foliage that is deciduous. It will need support as it doesn't self-cling. Prefers a sunny, sheltered site in fertile, moist but well drained soil. Frost hardy - may need some protection in extreme winters. HGT: 5m

Dregea sinensis

Dregea sinenesis - The Wattakaka Vine'

A rarely offered twining vine from western China bearing clusters of heavily scented, star shaped, white flowers with dark pink markings inside throughout summer. In its native country this climber is evergreen, however, in British winters it will loose its leaves, Hardy down to -10. The Wattakaka prefers well drained soil in a sheltered sunny position. Humulus lupulus 'Golden Tassels' - The Golden Hop

A vigorous climbing vine with bright golden-green foliage that produces distictive golden hops in autumn. These may be dried and used for either decoration or, more interestingly for home brewed beer. Hops prefer well drained soil in full sun or part shade & well drained soil. Fully hardy. HGT: 8m

Jasmine Clotted Cream

Jasminium officinale 'Clotted Cream'

A wonderful new form of the much loved jasmine but with larger flowers and even more fragrance! As you may have guessed from it's name, Clotted Crream produces soft cream flowers from June to August. This vigorous climber prefers well drained soil in full sun and in our opinion should be planted near a seating area to best appreciate it's fragrance. Frost hardy. HGT: 1.8m

Jasminium officinale - Poets Jasmine

A vigorous, deciduous climber having mid green pinnate foliage and producing clusters of highly scented pink flushed white flowers in summer. Fully hardy. Prefers a sheltered position in full sun or part shade and moist but well drained soil. HGT: 8m

Lonicera Dropmore Scarlet

Lonicera brownii 'Dropmore Scarlet'

 This stunning honeysuckle has long trumpet shaped, scarlet flowers from July to September perfectly shown off by its handsome blue-green foliage. Semi evergreen (in harsh winters it will completely drop its leaves.) It prefers fertile well drained soil in full sun or part shade. Fully hardy. HGT: 4m

A rarely offered, evergreen honeysuckle with narrow sea-green leaves with a velvety texture. Produces purple-red flowers with a hint of yellow during June & July. Will suit most situations, even north facing! Fully hardy. HGT: 3m

Lonicera Copper Beauty

Lonicera henryi 'Copper Beauty'

An absolutely gorgeous evergreen honeysuckle with large shiny deep green foliage that is bronze when young. Copper Beauty produces sweetly scented copper-yellow flowers throughout summer followed by black fruits in autumn. Prefers moist but well drained soil in full sun. Fully hardy. HGT: 10m

Lonicera periclymenum 'Belgica'

An old favourite, this honeysuckle flowers earlier than other varieties producing highly scented red flushed white flowers that age to yellow followed by red berries in autumn. It has dark green deciduous foliage. Prefers moist but well drained, humus rich soil in full sun/part shade. Fully hardy. HGT: 6m

Lonicera Caprilia Cream

Lonicera periclymenum 'Caprilia Cream'

A brand new honeysuckle bred to grow in a columnar form making it much easier to keep in check. Produces pink flower buds from July that turn cream before finally turning yellow and wilting. Prefers well drained soil in full sun/part shade. Fully hardy. HGT: 2m

Lonicera Graham Thomas

Lonicera periclymenum 'Graham Thomas'

A lovely honeysuckle producing large bunches of highly scented white flowers that age to buff yellow during summer. These are in turn, followed by red berries in autumn. Deciduous, it has dark-green leaves with whiteish undersides. Prefers moist but well drained, humus rich soil in full sun/part shade. Fully hardy HGT: 8m

A half hardy deciduous climber with round, dark green leaves & racemes of small, greenish white flowers followed by fleshy white fruit in Autumn. Prefers sheltered spot in full sun or partial shade & moist but well drained soil. HGT: 6m

Parthenocissus henryana

Pathenocissus henryana - Silver-Veined Virginia Creeper

A beautiful variety of this ever popular climber having 'silver' veins along each of its dark green leaves, the underside of which is a gorgeous plummy red. Slightly less vigorous than some of its other cousins. Develops amazing autumn colours. Fully hardy. Prefers humus rich soil in either sun or shade. HGT: 9m

An unusual variety of the ever popular 'Virginia Creeper'. Star Showers is a vigorous, self clinging climber with beautiful cream, green and pink variegation which it maintains even when developing its reknowned autumn colours! Prefers humus rich soil in either sun or shade. Fully hardy. HGT: 15m

Passiflora Victoria

Passiflora violacea 'Victoria'

Victoria is the oldest documented hybrid passionflower and deservedly so as it spends most of summer producing beautiful coppery red flowers followed by edible orange fruit. Deciduous, this vigorous climber prefers fertile, moist but well drained soil in full sun. Fully hardy. HGT: 10m

A lovely deciduous climber with mid green leaves and masses of white flowers throughout summer. Prefers a sheltered position in full sun with fertile soil. HGT: 2 - 3m

Trachelospermum jasminoides

Trachelospermum jasminoides - Star Jasmine

A vigorous evergreen climber having glossy, dark green foliage that may turn deep red in winter, and producing clusters of small, highly scented, white, star shaped flowers in summer. Border-line hardy so best grown in a sheltered spot or over-wintered in an unheated greenhouse. Prefers well drained soil in full sun. HGT: 8m
